OUR PROGRAM

The Walnut Hills Choral Department aims to foster self-sufficient musicians and lifelong music lovers, connecting the music we perform both intellectually and emotionally to our students’ lives.

With music literacy as the foundation of our rehearsal process, our ensembles are able to perform the most challenging and rewarding music appropriate for their age level. All of the high school choral ensembles at WHHS participate in the OMEA Large Group Adjudicated events, typically earning superior ratings at the State level. Vocal Ensemble, the culminating SATB choir at Walnut Hills, also performs large choral works ranging from Carmina Burana to Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem annually in addition to their ambitious regular concert schedule.
